Website redesign that gets your old site working again.

Stuck with a slow site on Wix, WordPress or Squarespace, or one built years ago? I rebuild it as a fast website you own, and keep your domain, your email and the links Google already knows.

  • Redesigns from €499
  • Domain and email kept
  • Nothing to pay until you’re happy

When an old website starts costing you customers

Most people will judge your business on a phone, in a few seconds. Google found that 53% of mobile visits are likely to be abandoned when a page takes longer than three seconds to load.

  • Nowhere on Google

Search for what you do in your town and you’re on page two, or not there at all, while competitors with newer sites take the calls.

  • Slow on a phone

Pages that crawl in on 4G, text you have to pinch to read and buttons too small to tap. People give up and go back to Google.

  • “Not secure” warning

Browsers put a warning next to sites without a secure connection, right where your customers are deciding whether to trust you.

  • Hard to change

You can’t update your prices or hours yourself, the person who built it has moved on, or every small change is a bill.

  • It looks its age

Old photos, a design from another decade and details that are no longer right make a good business look closed.

  • No idea what it brings in

You pay for it every month or every year and can’t tell whether a single call or booking came from it.

[ Where you’re moving from ]

Leaving Wix, WordPress or Squarespace

Every platform lets you go a little differently. This is what a move involves from each, and what I take care of.

  1. 01

    Wix

Wix says its sites must run on its own servers, so a Wix site can’t be copied to another host. I rebuild it from scratch, move your text and photos across, and your domain comes with you.

  2. 02

    WordPress

Often slow and hard to look after: a theme, a page builder and a long list of plugins that all need updating, or the site becomes a security risk. I rebuild it without any of that, so there’s nothing left to patch.

  3. 03

    Squarespace

Squarespace exports only some of your content, in a file made for WordPress, and your design doesn’t carry over. I move what matters by hand and rebuild the rest so it’s faster than before.

[ How a move works ]

From your old site to a new one, without losing what works

Most of a redesign is careful planning, so your customers and Google never find a broken page.

  1. 01

    Free website check

I look at your current site, where it shows up on Google and what’s worth keeping, and tell you honestly whether a redesign or a few fixes would do.

  2. 02

A fixed price and a plan

The price in writing, and a list of every old page with the new address it will point to.

  3. 03

    Rebuilt on a private link

Your text and photos moved across and improved where it helps. You check it on your phone and nothing changes for your customers yet.

  4. 04

    Launch day

Your domain points to the new site, every old page sends visitors and Google to its new one, your email keeps working and Google is told about the new pages.

  5. 05

    The weeks after

Google says rankings can move around for a while after a site moves, so I keep an eye on yours until they settle.

Website redesign: your questions

Something else on your mind? Ask me directly.

How much does a website redesign cost in Ireland?

A redesign usually costs about the same as a new website, because the site is rebuilt. Web60’s 2026 guide puts most small business websites built by a freelancer or agency at €1,500 to €5,000. Mine start at €499 (my launch price for the first 10 clients) for up to 10 pages, with the first year of care included. A bigger site gets a fixed quote first. More in what a website costs in Ireland.

Will I lose my place on Google?

You shouldn’t, as long as the move is done carefully, and that’s the job. I keep your domain, point every old address at its new page with a permanent redirect and tell Google about the new pages on launch day. Google says rankings can move around for a few weeks while it catches up, so I keep an eye on yours until they settle.

Do I keep my domain and email?

Yes. Your domain stays yours and your email keeps working exactly as it does now. If your domain was bought through Wix or Squarespace, I help you move it to an Irish registrar in your own name.

When can I cancel my Wix or Squarespace plan?

Only after the new site is live and your domain has moved. Until then your old site keeps running, so customers never land on an empty page. I’ll tell you when it’s safe.

How long does a redesign take?

Most take three to six weeks from the first call to launch. Your old site stays up the whole time, and the switch on launch day takes minutes.

Is it worth redesigning, or can my site be fixed?

Sometimes a few fixes are enough, and if so I’ll tell you. A redesign makes sense when the site is slow at its core, can’t be updated, or sits on a platform you’d rather stop paying for. The free website check answers that for your site.

Can you redesign a site outside Kerry?

Yes. I’m based in Tralee and work with businesses all over Ireland. Most of the work happens over video call and email, and you watch the new site take shape on a private link.
